Twenty-Fifteen has been an incredible year music-wise. Some of my favorite songs came out this year and that thought, to me, is amazing: that in just one year music that changed my life came out. I restricted myself to music that came out in 2015 so music from previous years that I loved this year will not be mentioned. These songs are in no particular order except for the first two. Here are my top ten favorite songs of 2015:
1) Dream by Imagine Dragons
This is my favorite song, as I wrote in my "Bath Time Playlist" post. The band's newest album, Smoke + Mirrors, came out in February and has some of the best music ever. Dream is my favorite song on there, but all of them are excellent. I still listen to the album on loop. This song is definitely worthy of being number one on my favorites list.
2) Wake Up Call by Nothing But Thieves
This band has quickly become one of my favorites. I recently discovered them and I have been obsessed ever since. I particularly love this song the most. It has amazing music/beats and has fantastic lyrics. Their album is coming out in 2016 and I CANNOT WAIT! I also have a post about them if you want to check it out. My top four favorite songs they sing are mentioned on that post.
3) Eyes Shut by Years and Years
I LOVE YEARS AND YEARS. They are so good. All of their songs are so wonderful. This song, however, is my all time favorite by them. I love the music and the lyrics and everything about it. I am definitely guilty of listening to this song a good billion times.
4) Collide by James Bay
I love how fast paced this song is and how, even though it is in the Alternative genre, it has something very different about it. I particularly love the bridge in the song. Collide is definitely one of my favorites.
5) Hello by Adele
Adele is a queen of music. She is amazing. Her voice is powerful and mesmerizing and leaves me breathless. Hello is seriously incredible, which is probably why it has been on the music charts at number one for weeks. I am sure all of you have heard this song so I don't need to say too much about it.
6) Can't Feel My Face by The Weeknd
Another song that everyone knows and loves. This song is so catchy that I know if I hear it, it'll be in my head for the rest of the day. It's so good.
7) Unsteady by X Ambassadors
Can I just start off by saying that beat... is AMAZING! It's actually addicting. I love the lyrics as well. This song transports me and changes my mood in an instant. It is so good.
8) Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots
This song makes me feel nostalgic and tense, but I really like it. The rhythm is so good and the lyrics just bring me back to when I was little. It is odd how that happens, but I think that's why I like it so much. I love this song.
9) If You Do by Got7
I am a huge K-Pop addict. There is just something about the colorful, dance-filled videos and catchy tunes that I love. This song by Got7 is one that I love. The video has great dancing and the song will get in your head. If this song is not your favorite or if you are new to the K-Pop world, I also recommend Call Me Baby by EXO, which also came out this year.
10) Sing Loud by Kate Linn and Chris Thrace
I heard this song in Europe and I love it so much. I recommended another song by the same artists in my "Bath Time Playlist" post called Zaynah that I also love. This song just sounds like summer to me and it makes me miss it so much. I love the music and the fact that it is a duet (I am a sucker for duets).
Those are my favorite songs of the year! Tell me yours in the comment section; I would love to know. Have a fantastic New Years.
